Skate Film 2013

My brothers and I at Double-Headed Monster will be shooting a skate film this Spring and Summer. It will involve the skate culture featured in the Hudson Valley (as north as Kingston to south as Long Island). This isn't just your average skate video but much more with clips from concerts, unconventional techniques, insane cinematography, interviews, etc

Skate Film

Double-Headed Monster Productions
 Presents: A Skate Culture Film

Intro
Double-Headed Monster is a D.I.Y. film production company. We are now in the middle of registering us as a L.L.C.
We’ve been around for a while but business is really taking off these last few months. We do music videos, live show recordings, interviews, promos, etc. but this Spring/Summer our big project is a skate film about local skateboard culture in N.Y. I say skate film and not video but it is not just going to be skate trick after skate trick (as sick as that is) but splices of band performances, jokes, interviews, pro-jams and other edits dissolved in the mix.

Who
Anyone who skates, bmx, free run (those crazy motherfuckers who back flip down two stories), stunt performers, and more will be featured but you know skaters will take majority screen time. Main place of recording will be in Dutchess County (that’s where we live) but we’ll be at other spots any chance we get. Age, sex, I.Q. doesn’t matter anyone and everyone can participate.

Where
Besides Dutchess County we will hit Ulster, Putnum and Orange County. N.Y.C. will also be a frequent location. But even some CT and PA spots can be featured if they represent! Our partners over at Wheelbite845.com will be aiding in this project. WB845 will soon have updates where skaters learn when and where the next place that we will be filming, but a lot will also be guerilla camera work - meaning random and unplanned.  We also would really appreciate any location recommended by you guys.

When will it be finished?
In the fall (and during all summer and spring) we will be editing the footage until we get a feature film we feel can’t get any better. Then DVD’s will be pressed. If we can get donations, sponsors, or whatever we can press a lot more DVD’S.
